Veterans Day

“On this Veterans Day, we salute the brave men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect our country and world. It takes immense courage and selflessness to sacrifice years from their families and to endure the hardships of battle. These soldiers have given their lives for a greater cause, and we owe them our utmost gratitude and respect.

It is because of the sacrifices of our veterans that we enjoy the freedom and liberties we have today. They have fought against tyranny and oppression, defending the values of democracy and human rights. We are blessed to live in a country where we can express our opinions and beliefs without fear of persecution, and it's thanks to our veterans.

We must never forget the immense sacrifice that our veterans have made. They have put their lives at risk to protect our country and its people, and we owe them our unending support. Let us honor our veterans every day, for their selflessness, courage, and dedication. We thank you for your service, and we will always be indebted to you.” #VeteransDay #GratefulNation #SupportOurTroops

Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous Peoples' Day is a holiday in the US that celebrates and recognizes Indigenous peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. It is celebrated across the United States on the second Monday in October, and is an official city and state holiday in various localities. It began as a counter-celebration held on the same day as the U.S. federal holiday of Columbus Day, which honors Italian explorer Christopher Columbus. Some people reject celebrating him, saying that he represents "the violent history of the colonization in the Western Hemisphere".

2023.09 CINLUG Meeting - Security Compliance with RHEL image builder & Insights

Want to attend?       RSVP now

Join Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) for our September 6th meeting! We are pleased to host Terry Bowling [1] speaking on "Security Compliance with RHEL image builder & Insights." Terry will demonstrate building gold images that have the OpenSCAP security policies such as CIS L2 and PCI-DSS already applied. He will then demonstrate using Insights Compliance as a method to audit, report, and enforce your fleet of RHEL systems visible in the Insights Inventory, regardless of what public cloud or datacenter they reside.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) image builder is based on the upstream osbuild.org [2] project and is a feature application in RHEL. It is also available as part of RHEL's management capabilities at Red Hat Insights (console.redhat.com).

Our main webpage is at http://www.cinlug.org where you will find past discussions and meeting topics.
